Newbie Forum Discuss, Avi2dvd problems at Starters forum; Hello everyone this is the first time i have used this type of stuff so i hope i can get some help. I download everything fine and the program starts fine, but then about half way thru it stops and says "floating point division by zero". I have no idea

I download everything fine and the program starts fine, but then about half way thru it stops and says "floating point division by zero".

I have no idea what it means or what to do to get rid of it.

Hey when i started using this a week ago i got the same problem! for starters try running as admin. If that doesn't work, download either of the mega codec pack or the CCCP codec pack and install them. Everything will work fine after that! Enjoy! (PS works great for converting .mkv, no loss of quality or very minimal atleast!)

You probably don't need the entire codec pack. You are missing a codec though. Are your original files xvid or divx by any chance? You can install just those codecs if that is the case.

If you'd like to install an entire codec pack, I'd stick with CCCP as a fairly lean one.
