| Videora seems to need the dvd ripped to one big file. I can't see any reason for demuxing though. You might want to look into Handbrake or Xvid4PSP, two free conversion programs that can take regular dvd files as input, and output to Ipod compatible format. Especially if you run into a dvd with more advanced protection that DVDDecrypter can't handle. With one of those you can rip with the free section of DVDFab.

| ok ok...please forgive me cuz i have absolutely no clue of this...i am usually doing all kinds of investigations to gain my experience and knowledge. so here is what i have.. I have the DVD that i borrowed from a co-worker, it is the actual DVD from the store. I put the disc in my drive and opened DVD Decrypter. I tried to copy the thing like i normally do to a VOB file and then us Videora to convert to .mp4 format. I did that process and realized that there was a delay. as i have found with my American History X movie and My best friends girl movies as well. the only difference is that i am friggin determined to have a dvd rip of this movie to her ipod. so what i did was.....i deleted the files and started from scratch. I went to the "enable stream processing" tab and clicked so i could take out all the crap i don't need like subtitles and such. I read online that if i click the demux button that the audio and video will be separated. so i was like ok then, i will just adjust the timing and mash the audio and video files together in a editing prog. i didnt realize that it was not this easy. I have a 5GB Mpeg-2 file with no Audio, and a 1 GB Wav for the movie. after studying these files i have found that i need to offset the audio from the beginning +3125ms, i do that and all if great until the movie hits 01:04:50 (H:M:S) then after that point the audio lags for the rest of the movie. now, i have figured out how to make a AVI file from the mpeg and wav files that i have. then from there i should have no problems making the mp4. here is what i need to find out. how can i edit Frame by Frame that mpeg2 file and either remove a few frames or add some copied frames to that video file WITHOUT effecting the Audio file as well. the reason i say that is cuz in Virtualdubmod I have the video file and then i have the audio stream....but if make the edits to the video first then when i put the audio in it applies the cuts i have made to the video to the audio as well, thus resulting in the same lag between video and audio. i dont know if i left anything out but if i did sorry, just ask me to specifically what on the thread. sixxstringgod |
