| Run one through CD-DVD Speed and see who the manufacturer is  I have some ordinary Verbatim CDRs (nothing like "Super Azo" or "Extra Protection" written on the spindle) that are Prodisc made, and decent for everyday use. And of course there's the "Extra Protection" ones which can sometimes be TY.

| Should be in general, though more details are neccesary to give a precise answer. At least where they're made.

The Super AZO & Pastels (not sure if available in the US) are the best Verbatims , followed by the Extra Protection ones . This latter brand may be Made In Japan & will be TY's so if you see any them grab them. Some suggest that the Made in China ones are pretty good. I think the branding for the US market is different to Europe so you may not find any of these suggestions. |

| The only retail Verbatim CD-Rs sold in the US that are guaranteed to be Super AZO dye still carry the "DataLifePlus" label. I also think the ones that look like LPs/records use the old dark blue Metal AZO dye, but I'm not 100% certain. |

| Look OK to me. I'd burn slower though. 16x for audio & 24x for data. You'll notice the jitter reaches it's peak at the higher speeds & this can affect some CD players. |

| Apparently arent the MIC Verb CD's supposed to be better than MIT, MII. Sure I read that here somewhere. I use TY extra protection ATM myself, love the smell!!!! Readily available from Staples, as I have posted previously. |
