Ty only Made in Japan?

I try to use Taiyo eclusively for my CD-R's I've been told that if they say Made in Japan on the label.. its pretty certain TY made the discs. The problem is, where I live in the states, the only brand that says Made in Japan is Fuji.. and they are rarely on sale. Are any brands made in Taiwan TY's?

God I hope this question doesn't sound as stupid as it reads..

Nope, TY is exclusively made in Japan, nowhere else.

you can buy TY in bulk from several online stores. I generally use www.rima.com

I still remember the good ol' days when Best Buy had 50pk spindles of Fuji/TY for $2.99 after rebate on a regular basis. Sadly, those days are gone (although I have a stockpile of them and I mostly burn dvds now anyway).

Same here on both counts ;-)

IIRC, there are some Maxell CD-R made in Japan, and they are TY too. Maxell Audio CD or something like that. Last time I saw them in Walmart.
