Hi,

I buy this DVD in Croatia, and I'm not sure is it original TDK's dvd or is a fake?

DVD Identifier gives me the next info:

----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Unique Disc Identifier : [DVD-R:DAXON016S]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Disc & Book Type : [DVD-R] - [DVD-R]
Manufacturer Name : [Daxon Technology Inc.]
Manufacturer ID : [DAXON016S]
Blank Disc Capacity : [2,298,496 Sectors = 4.71 GB (4.38 GiB)]
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Does Daxon produce DVDs for TDK?

Regards.

Welcome to cdfreaks unicode2CP,

TDK could be anything, CMC, Prodisc, MBI and probably also Daxon. They've outsourced all DVD production some time ago. What does the packaging label look like? This looks more like American than European style TDK labeling, I think.

Thank you for greeting Cressida.

I dont' know how the packaging label looks like cause it's bought apiece.

I thought that only TDK produces their own media.

I'm disappointed now.

I'm not sure about that as I've seen lots of just similarly looking TDKs here in Minsk. Just a labelling style change, I guess.

Daxon may be good sometimes, BTW, even better than TDK's own discs.
