Aha! So they have admitted it at last.

Obviously, this is not really what was said. So please, don't take this seriously and start kicking up a scene. This is a quote deliberately taken totally out of context just for humour purposes. I thought some tongue-in-cheek humour might be missing here at the moment

Well, I think this rather applies to RITEKG05 DVD
Their CD-R has been quite good for me, and now that it is confirmed that they use Ciba technology it's even better

Sneaker Fun Fact: When Circa was developing a pro shoe for Chad Muska, he requested a stash pocket to run the entire length of the tongue. When designers asked The Muska if he really needed that much stash room, he replied, “Yo, I gots a lotta weed to fit in there, man!”

I've had their CD-Rs become completely useless in only 2 years. I've had to deal with other people having this problem as well. I used to give Ritek a 5 year longevity rating for CD-Rs, but now it's down to 2-5 years

Actually, if you read the article, it says they didn't use to use dye from Ciba but are switching to it now, probably as part of the patent infringment settlement. Goodness knows what they used to use, but it seems to have been at least half decent. Anyway, the point is that from now onwards their CD-Rs will use Ciba's dyes but it may be a while before current stocks in shops and retailers get bought up till you get those Ciba dye discs.

I'll be rather amused if their CD-Rs take a turn for the worse after this because of the new dye used
