| Not sure if you would call them rare but i have 6 unopened packs of verbatim pastel x8 dvd-r (TYG02), 1 unopened pack of panasonic x8 dvd-r (TYG02) and about 30 odd tdk branded x8 dvd-r (TYG02) and about 8 or so tdk branded x8 dvd+r (yuden002). The verbs and panasonics are 5 packs in slimline cases and the tdks are singles in standard clear jewel cases. I also have a cd-r in the shape of a christmas tree. I have old disc like the old verb cds and tdk cds but these have was used many years ago.

| Quote: Some of the best media ever. Awesome burn quality and compatibility (with the right burner), and gorgeous looking combination of white top and dark-blue azo dye. $6.99 buy it now price? WTF? You guys don't even know how good you have it. Why don't we ever get great deals like that over here? |
- #112
| That doesn't include the inflated shipping. The cost is at least $17.00. The only reason eBay appears better over here is simple cultivation. It's an American-based company, so all the work and effort to build it up over the years and get people used to it has focused here. Plus, the idea of a used or thrift-economy is something that seems in tune with American culture, with all of our dollar stores and discount shops. Propaganda has you believing that the United States is about Rodeo Drive and Saks Fifth Avenue, but the reality is that America is Sears, JCPenny, Woolworth, K-Mart, Costco, and yes, Wal-Mart. The same thing could be big over there, but you need to create something that is in tune with German culture. |
- #113
| I'd even buy them for $17, still a great deal if you ask me. Can't really disagree with the last part of your post, on the contrary, but that's more of a political discussion which belongs in the chat. |

| Verbatims: yeah i would buy em for 17US too... good media with the right burner as packetloss already said... Pioneer: really great media in combination with the right burner (older CD-R drive or Plextor).

Flashing a drive with this package will void the Warranty. Please use this at your own risk! I updated the package and it contains 8.21 from Buffalo and 1.21 firmware from Pioneer. http://www.megaupload.com/jp/?d=DB70XXWZ http://rapidshare.com/files/51249663..._112L.rar.html |

| Don't get me wrong. I agree that we are a little spoiled. When we can get Taiyo Yuden 52x CD-Rs relatively cheap all the time, unless other CD-R media is something that we're going to eat with strawberries and syrup, we can afford to wait or pass up something that others might be ready to die for. |

| $62 for 50 of them Hmm I am considering it. Does anyone have any more info on these? Quote:

| Original Pioneer discs, extremely rare (ATIP: 97m27s31f). http://www.cdr-forum.de/detailcdr.php?ID=648 But remember that you need the right burner to burn these excellent old school discs well. Preferably an older good quality CD-RW drive. |

http://www.alancomputech.com/33l4969.html However, eBay is the better way to go, because they have more and cheaper shipping options than the web site. Once again, for my Bay Area friends, this place is located in Union City, CA, and they allow will call pickup (you have to place an order over the phone, or, if ordering via eBay, ask for a modified invoice without shipping charges). |

| I think I will grab a pack and see how they burn on my current drives first. The Samsung 203N seems to burn most CD-R's real well no matter what they are. Quote:
