| Just purchased FujiFilm 8X DVD +R media from Best Buy (Made in Japan) My Problem is I cannot read what kind of Media it is.... 1) Does the media have to be "written" to extract the info?  2) should I be able to use Nero's Infotool on a DVD reader? 3) I also ran both Infotool, DVD Identifier, and Kprobe against Blank Disk on a Plextor PX 504a with Firmware 1.02... still no MFG info on DVD+R is this a limitation of the Plex? Running WXP sp1 I will try from my Liteon 812s when I get home. |

| Identifiers should work on blank media, certainly works that way for me. You cannot identify in a reader only. As I understand it, Fujifilm - made in Japan, could be TY, an excellent choice. |
