Re: Post your 18x burn scans/TRTs here!

Here's a few scans on CMC media, and CMC-made verbatim, and verbatim dvd-r 16x. All burns were done at 18X on my Optiarc 7170A. I should have a few scans of the liteon drive @ 18x in the forseeable future.

Then the 166s drive should be the only TRT results you should trust

LG GSA H22N @ 18x MCC004

Here's an 18x burn of MCC004
Written with LG H22N and tested with LH-18A1P GLOC

1st picture: Create disc
2nd picture: PI/PIF/Jitter test @4x
3rd picture: PI/PIF Test @ 8x
4th picture: TRT test @ 16x with LG 4167B

Excellent result. I am really pleased with how good this burner writes at high speeds. The written side of the disc also looks quite nice and doesn't have any weird looking dye effects. It basically looks like it may have been burned at 8x

But the jitter increases steadily

Wipe that frown off your face boy

The max and average level of jitter is still lower compared to the liteon's daxon AZ3 burn.

BTW merry X-mas!

My farewell scan to the LH-18A1P with Verbatim T03 (TH000021). Not bad for this spindle

Who says it's bad to burn at 18x?

Lets see some of the best 16-20x burns... I was pleasantly suprised with these results, as I've had a hard time with most media at high speeds, and was about to give up on those speeds entirely. TY take this.

Media was Verbatim 16x Lightscribe.
