Sneaker Fun Fact: When Circa was developing a pro shoe for Chad Muska, he requested a stash pocket to run the entire length of the tongue. When designers asked The Muska if he really needed that much stash room, he replied, “Yo, I gots a lotta weed to fit in there, man!”

Oh, and by the way, the cakebox reminds me of a few SKC CD-R cakeboxes...
SKC mostly has their media made in Hong Kong though. Odd...

Hi my first post here.

I was looking up this company, what I found was that the company's name is E- TOP NAVIGATOR, another place it said it was called E-TOP NETWORK, pretty wierd, but always with the same websites.

Anyway, if you go here : http://4f603213477.company.ibuy-sell.com/, there you have two links, www.etopnetwork.com.tw works and leads to a site called www.sapido.com.tw .

The reason why I found this company and this forum is because I'm doing some research about low-quality cds. If somebody could tell me what country is the largest producer and waht are the largest companies, I would appreciate it.

The most important CD-R(W) producing countries are (in no particular order)
Taiwan (CMC, Ritek, Prodisc, Daxon, Nan-Ya, Lead Data, Infodisc and several smaller companies),
China (CMC, Ritek, Prodisc, Wealth Fair Investment and several smaller companies),
India (Moser Baer),
Hong Kong (SKC/Mediastar, Prodisc, formerly also: CMC),
Malaysia (Daxon),
Japan (Taiyo Yuden, formerly also: TDK, Matsushita Electric, Pioneer, Ricoh, Sony).

(Smaller production lines also exist(ed) in the US (MAM-A, formerly also TDK), France (MAM-E, now closed), Italy (Computer Support Italy, now closed?), Luxembourg (TDK, now closed), and Germany (Fuji, now closed?).)

The most important CD-R(W) producing companies are CMC, Moser Baer India, Ritek, Prodisc.

As for me, the low quality media echelon (not only the initial burn quality matters, but the quality degradation ratio too) consists of:

(Taiwan) Lead Data, Infodisc, Ricoh, Mitsui, Gigastorage Corp.;
(China) Infodisc, Princo, and all the rest of that famous chinese CD-manufacturing mafia
(Russia) Mirex (the Plasmon-coded CD-R versions), VS (usually rebadging various crap and, as I see, QC-failed media);

of course, the list can be continued.

Well, CMC, Daxon and to some extent Ritek and Prodisc have made quite decent CD-R, not as good as TY but definitely acceptable for everyday usage even though some of the lines of the Taiwanese companies have been relocated to China.

Arachne has posted quite a sweet scan with TDK CD-R made by CMC. I'll definitely have to try TDK's CMCs too.

Some of my Moser Baer India CD-R (Imation brand) have been degrading like mad, though.
Might try my luck with Ricoh-MBI CD-R again, but I'm not so sure whether the money on these would be well spent...

Thanks , but I put that down to the drive as well as the media. I really like my NEC for CDR burning.
