melody taiwanse brand in Hong Kong what is it?

im in Hong Kong for a while and want to buy some dvd-r with a ritek g04 dye type. they have several brands the two most available are melody group and sohot (which has an imation logo on it). does anyone know which one might use ritek g04 dye, is there a way i can use a dvd-rom drive to find out the dye type? as i dont have a computer with a dvd burner available to me, if so which progam can i use?

will this util work on blank discs placed in a dvd-rom? as my brother in law only has a dvd-rom drive and my computer with the pioneer a06 is in uk. also is there a list anywhere of which brands are actually ritek g04's or g03's.
