MBI Glossy Inkjet Printable Dual Layer

Blank Optical Media Discuss, MBI Glossy Inkjet Printable Dual Layer at Hardware forum; Found these: http://www.blankmedia.ca/proddetail3.asp?id=1328 I've never seen them before...has anyone else? Are they good quality?

    I wouldn't spend my hard earned money on anything other than Verbatim DVD+R DL media...printable or not.

    Funny, I was just replying to another topic on this board regarding glossy DL discs. I just found these on this same website. I thought I would do a search on this forum to see if anyone had any info on the quality of the discs that I just ordered and found others seem to have the same question. I should have them in about 1 week, I'll let you know if they're any good. I have 2 burners to try them on.

    Well I hope you are buying the branded 8x because all of the branded Verbatim 2.4x I see everywhere now is Made In India .. aka MBI from Moser Baer India. That's all that's on Future Shop and Staples' shelves today anyways. The Verbatim printable is still Made in Singapore.

    The +R use the MID RICOHJPNDxx (if i'm not mistaken) and the -R kind carries the MBI code.

    Haven't tried those yet.

    They are claimed as grade A premium just as good as TY on their site - but I wouldn't rely on a lot of things on that website - they make big claims on other no so good media.

    I bought a 20 pack of printable about a year ago from NewEgg and still have 10-12 left. They are 2.4X DVD+R printable DL MIS and code as MKM001. I really don't plan on buying any more of these because just about everything I backup will easily fit onto a single SL disc with little or no compression, but I won't suggest anything else to anyone until the rest of the companies get on board.
