MAM-A is not good media. Don't let the word "archival" fool you otherwise. It's just a meaningless marketing word. You could call it anything you want, but it doesn't mean it's worth 2 cents. Gold is also not important, and it may actually be a negative.

Gold has is advantages and disadvantages.
However even with the advantage of GOLD, MAM's cd-r's couldn't perform better on aging as TY in c't accelerated aging test.
So why us MAM ?

Gold supposedly ages better, but real-life doesn't necessarily agree. On the other hand, gold has a pretty crappy reflectivity as compared to silver. So combined forces all considered, gold media may be unreadable before silver media, and there is empirical evidence out there which confirms this, at least with CD-R.

While I cannot answer the question about which MAM-A is better, what I can say is they are all pretty much inferior to the likes of Mitsubishi (Verbatim brand) and Taiyo Yuden, among others.

Another possibility is that when you have a company like that, which is so attached to puffy marketing words, the differences in grades may be different marketing, not actually anything to do with the disc itself. Something to consider.
