that the good folk at Verbatim recommend that we "appiy the latest firmware upgrades" It seems that like myself, they are capable of making the odd typo.

| Re: Fake (?) Verbatim DVD+R That's indeed getting funny! My 25pcs Verbatim DVD+R package doesn't have (C) to some strange "Merbatim Corporation", it has "(C) Verbatim Corporation, 2006" string instead. But the folowing statement also is interesting: "For optiCal performance, check your drive manufacturer's website ..." etc. ![]() Is that something like a theatre performance, but with major use of optical/light effects? On the WEBSITE? P.S. To Livesms: haven't we ever met before? *IXBTCOM* |

| Re: Fake (?) Verbatim DVD+R Luckily, I'm not that kind of type that can't distinguish TY Verbatim from MCC Verbatim (by simply checking for the "Made in Japan" string, YUDEN000 T0x MID and hubcodes on the discs) and at the same time completely doesn't understand what this thread is about |

| Re: Fake (?) Verbatim DVD+R That's probably because you're scanning on an NEC drive. LiteOn, BenQ, some Samsung or Plextor writers are what you should use for scanning |

Also i tried burning it with LG H42N and Benq 1650. LG H42N even with 18x. Benq DW1650 at 8x and 12x (sometimes 8x gives better, sometimes 16x better).

| Re: Fake (?) Verbatim DVD+R I don't know if it makes a difference, but I think 8x scanning is the "proper" speed for BenQs, not sure if 4x produces funny results as I don't have a benQ. I know that liteons don't make much difference at all between 4x and 8x scans. But the scans you did @ 8x all look very nice, that's for sure. I think T03 should be burnt at a minimum of 8x with benQs. The 4x burns don't look that great. EDIT: you post too fast lol. Haha but yeah looks like your 12x burns are good. Nice result with the 18x LG burn as well
