DVD-R Data Recovery

Blank Optical Media Discuss, DVD-R Data Recovery at Hardware forum; A friend has given me a DVD-R Film that is badly damaged, he just told me 'it wont play past 5 mins' scanned it with k's probe and Wooooah, its still stuck at about 86.5% and is reporting major errors, which would be the best way to try and recover
