Dual layer RW? (DVD -/+DL RW?)

Are they ever going to make dual layer re-writables or is that not possible because of the whole second layer thing?

Considering dual layer blanks are still way too expensive - I may as well pay 15$ for a couple of dual layer RW's (if they make em) instead of 4$ for Dual layer write onces and end up just making coasters

Anyone know?

They should be out next year sometime, though they will be expensive and you will probably need a new dvd recorder.
