burning at speeds higher than rated speeds

hi,

i recently bought a pack of 5 2x~4x CD-RWs and wonder if i can burn them at speeds higher than the rated speeds.

i've tried disabling smart burn under nero but nero still doesn't allow me to burn my CD-RWs at speeds above 4x.

Nope. Unlike CD-Rs, CD-RWs cannot be burned faster than their maximum rated speed (err....except some 4-10x media can be burned @12x). You're outta luck on the 2x-4x CD-RW discs.
