| Best Lightscribe DVD Media? Verbs or HP? I am planning to buy some lightscribe DVD media. Currently I could find only two brands - HP and Verbs. What are your experiences with these? And what dyes are they?

| Re: Best Lightscribe DVD Media? Verbs or HP? I think all the label surface material is the same. The new 1.2 surface reduces contrast by default to increase the speed of the label burn, but has become so unpopular that there is a Contrast Enhancement Utility provided by Lightscribe that basically negates any time savings but gets quality back up where it was before. From a pure data standpoint, I would buy Verbatim, for DVD at the very least. However, the downside of DVD Lightscribe is that the label surface is underneath the plastic layer so that it looks kinda fuzzy and soft compared to the CD media, which has the label surface much closer to the top of the plastic layer. |

| Re: Best Lightscribe DVD Media? Verbs or HP? HP = CMC. If it's the 52x CD-R or the 8x DVD media, they're ok. For 16x DVD media I would use Verbies, as CMC have quality issues with their 16x media.

| Re: Best Lightscribe DVD Media? Verbs or HP? I picked up a box of Verbs. It didnt mention LS 1.2 so I am assuming they are 1.0. It took 20 mins to burn the cover image. AM quite happy with it. Verb LS media - MCC 004 is great!

So I guess what I'm feeling is like a beautiful sadness. Courage and perseverance have a magical talisman, before which difficulties disappear and obstacles vanish into air. The most important things are the hardest to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them-words shrink things that seemed limitless when in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while saying it.
