They say 9.4GB on the disc but 8.5GB on the website?

Yeah, looks like they screwed up the info printed on the disc.

Ritek says their DVD-R DL media should be available in August.

I have to agree with you on that one. However it is good to see competition which might put some pressure on Verbatim to lower the prices just a little bit on their D/L media.

Hmm is it like DVD+RW again. Which some parts of Ritek have announced months ago but still haven't put it on the market. So we will have to count up 3-4 months extra ?
Yes they have samples but no real market volumes !!!
