CDDAE says all is fine and error free and so does Nero CD quality test , what is wrong with scandisk surface scan ???

I know my CD's are fine just wanted too know if anyone has seen this color flip flop before tried installing two other versions of Nero CD speed and still the same....

Thank's cd pirate nice link

I guess since it does this with all CD's (audio & data) burned or pressed , all versions of Nero CD speed....I need to find out way my LiteOn 48125W & Toshiba SD-M 1502 have taken this sudden trun in C-2 error detection they both work in my other comp...just tried , or do they ? which way should they be ???

The only thing that has changed is my motherboard back in Nov. went to ASUS A7N8X NF2....could it be the IDE drivers ???

Sorry Mod's if this turned out to be in wrong section of Forum

I have the same problem - all CD-R's are reading 100% defective in all versions of Nero's scandisk. I have a Liteon 32123S which is not presently overclocked. I did flash it with XSU1 and got an incredible performance increase. That's when I saw the 100% defective report (didn't normally check this before I got to know this forum a few days ago (Kudos to all - this is a great place!). Got worried and flashed back to normal. Still getting 100% defective with scandisk on any CD-R, even pre-recorded.

I post here because I, too, have an ASUS A7N8X with the nForce2 chipset. I have checked all the nForce forums and, while there may be a problem with the nVidia chipset drivers and CD-R device detection, I have the Asus drivers and they have been reported as perfect in all posts. I am normally overclocked, but this problem persists oc'd or not.

In spite of all of this my recorded disks are behaving in a completely normal fashion. I am wondering whether this is a basic program (Nero) problem with nForce2 chipsets. Anyone else with any of the nForce2 boards seeing this problem?
