After burning DVD I notice light colored ring on bottom surface of disc.

Most DVD's that I burn usually have a ring under the bottom of the disc that is a different shade from the rest of the burnt surface. Is this because of the different type of data that is burnt on that area of the disc? Or is my burner not burning the data correctly? Someone please let me know, thanks.

This is not that uncommon and is most often caused when the burner shifts its burn speed. Sometimes there can be some readback 'hiccups' at these spots, but most of the time it's not a problem and for some burners/media/burn speeds these rings are normal. You can always run a transfer rate test in Nero CD-DVD Speed and see if your drive(s) can read the discs back relatively smooth or not.

BTW, thanks for letting me know guys, I was scared that A. My burner was defective. B. My Verbatims were defective. Or C. My software wasn't compatible with my discs/burner.
