imtoo dvd ripper best quality setting

I use ripper platinum to extract chapters/titles from my instructional DVds so that I can file them on my PC with sensible names & place them into media player playlists.

the default ( DIVX) settings are pretty goods quality, but is there a better quality setting, ideally one which does not apply any video compression at all ?

I now have lots of hard drive space so I could potentially re-rip everything at the original DVD file sizes in order ot have the best possible pictures in media player + be able to control all of the file names.

I don't know how to configure the program to do this though - is it possible.

The only things I want to remove are subtitles, mutilple languages and surround sound. I want to preserve as much video & stereo audio quality as possible adn mostly I'll be using one file per DVD chapter.

PS - I should have said explicitly - I want to the output file to play in media player & to be accessible via the Microsoft MCE interface, and via media player library.
So the .VOB output fomat is no good for this usage as it seems that media player will not play it.

You can raise the video size, video bit rate then you could get more excellent file
