DVD Audio/Video Sync Problem

Video Edit Software Discuss, DVD Audio/Video Sync Problem at Software forum; Hi everyone! I have demuxed the DVD Video/Audio using DVDDecrypter. Now i have 2 files: VTS_03_1 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 16~9 - Letterboxed.M2V VTS_03_1 - 0x80 - Audio - AC3 - 6ch - 48kHz - DRC - English - DELAY 0ms.AC3 The file says

Hi everyone!

I have demuxed the DVD Video/Audio using DVDDecrypter.
Now i have 2 files:

VTS_03_1 - 0xE0 - Video - MPEG-2 - 720x480 (NTSC) - 16~9 - Letterboxed.M2V

VTS_03_1 - 0x80 - Audio - AC3 - 6ch - 48kHz - DRC - English - DELAY 0ms.AC3

The file says it's 0ms DELAY, but when i play the files in Media Player Classic/PowerDVD etc it's like 2-4sec delay on the audio, the audio is playing before the video, approx 2-4sec... how come it's so?

There is no delay or something in the source, and when i compile it back to vob files using dvd lab it also have sync problems..
Is there a way to fix this problem?

This happens when for some reason there is silent (or not) studio logo as a separate video piece. The Dvd Decrypter very occasionally gets mixed up. The quickest way in my opinion is to slide audio bar and empirically, on preview see if audio is matching video. And do not worry that you may not be accurate – if you spent some time you would be more accurate then some originally authored movies. Good luck.
