Microsoft extends Windows 10 support with a year

Microsoft's Support Lifecycle page shows that the company has extended support for Windows 10 with a year. The additional year of support appears to come together with the launch of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update.

Previously companies with Windows 10 Enterprise Long-Term Servicing Branch (LTSB) were offered support till the 14th of October 2025. After the release of the Anniversary Update this has been extended to the 13th of October 2026. In order to be eligible for the additional year, the Anniversary Update has to be installed.

All other Windows 10 versions are supported till the 14th of October 2025.

Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB is comparable to Windows 10 Enterprise but it doesn't receive feature updates or other improvements, only security updates. The LTSB version is also the most stripped down version of Windows 10 and provides companies more control over the update process.

Earlier Microsoft already stated that Windows 10 would be the last Windows version and that the company would continuously add new features to the operating system.
