If someone doesn't like Vista, they can just stick with XP for a while. No need to go out right away and upgrade.

It gets even worse if you want to use one of the new Intel dual core chips with the hardware DRM built in to the cores, that will crypt a traceable code onto any thing you make with vista, also bad new for the XP users as M$ have dropped support for pre SP2 XP and that goes as well when Vista hits the streets. Did you know that the Vista SP1 is already being worked on ?

Good thing the best win OS, 2000 has been moved into extended 10+ year support.

So Intel went back to the CPU Serial Number?

Got any links about this? Are All Core 2 Duo chips like this?

Thanks

"Officially launched worldwide on the May 26, the new offerings come DRM-enabled and will, at least in theory, allow copyright holders to prevent unauthorized copying and distribution of copyrighted materials from the motherboard rather than through the operating system as is currently the case."
