| Good question Rex, I am installing the beta on test build in a Dual boot configuration, when I get it done I will try it, although I have to say that for most users " God Mode" is unnecessary.IMHO.

| 7 God Mode I've found on: http://leelusoft.blogspot.ro/2010/06/7gmode.html a small portable free application, 7GMode.exe (among many others) that does all the work for you, with enable/disable capabilities. The site description: 7GMode is a small, one click portable tool to enable or disable the Windows 7 God Mode. In Windows 7 sometimes when you try to find a configuration applet, you find yourself browsing between a lot of windows and applets while trying to remember where you change things from. Windows 7 God Mode is a special folder that contains all the configuration applets divided by a logical way in categories, so it is very easy to find and launch what you are looking for. Yes, I know you can make this folder by yourself, but this is the easy and safe way. You can also choose to create (and remove) a shortcut to God Mode from your desktop. If you didn't create a shortcut, just open the root of drive C:\ and you will see the God Mode Folder, open it and have fun. Freeware by LeeLu Soft 2010. =================== Thought you'll like it. Also, it's allways a good idea to make a registry backup and/or at least a restore point before any such tweaking. P. |

| You do know that in Windows 7 if you want access to the admin tools from the desktop you can always create a 'Administrative Tools - Shortcut'

| You can pin the 'God Mode' to the taskbar in the lower right as follows... Create the ‘God Mode’ folder as described in post #1 and place it anywhere on your system then place the 'God Mode' inside another folder named what ever you want, in this example I will call it ‘Admin Tools'. Now right click on the taskbar and navigate to ‘Toolbars’ and select ‘New Toolbar’ Selecting new toolbar.png This will bring up the ‘New Toolbar-Choose a Folder’ window. On the left side navigate to where you created the ‘Admin Tools' folder that contains the ‘God Mode’, and select the ‘Admin tools’ folder itself as the target then click on the select folder button. New Toolbar-Choose a Folder.jpg You should now have access to the 'God Mode' in the lower right corner of the taskbar as shown below. ![]() God Mode on taskbar.jpg Please note: Selecting the ‘God Mode’ folder itself will be invalid so it is necessary to place it into another folder.
