unable to play in power dvd
I have a mpeg that cannot play in Power DVD but plays in Windows Media player. Never had that happen. I checked it with Gspot and it says :
This is, or appears to be, an unsupported filetype. GSpot provides full support for AVI and OGG media streams. Based on its composition, GSpot believes the filetype to be "RIFF "wrapper"". Any one know what this means? Sorry if I posted in the wrong forum

Re: unable to play in power dvd
Your MPEG file is either a VCD - avseq01.dat file just renamed to *.mpg or is a SVCD mpg file just copied off a CD. Neither are true mpg files as they had Riff data throughout the file. Just use IsoBuster. Right click the mpg file and select "Extract but filter only M2F2 mpeg stream", you now have a true MPEG file.
Please don't PM me with technical questions, use the Forum, that's what it's here for.
