For whatever reason, I have this wacky thing where Windows Media Player seems to have invaded my Right Click menu.
When I'm on an MP3 and right click, I get these entries:
Add to Sync List
Add to Burn List
Add to Now Playing List
Add to Playlist
Play with Media Player
is there any way I can simply prevent Windows Media Player for adding these entries to my context (right click) menu?
Thanks

I found a helpful article that kind of sort of led me in the right direction:
http://msn.pcworld.com/article/id,11...1/article.html
I ended up in the registry and started searching for key words like "BURN" and "PLAYLIST" and was able to discern a pattern and manually delete as many of the WMP type entries as I could find that were under the Context section on the left pane. You know, like WMPSYNCLIST, stuff like that.
Man, what a hassle. But it appears to have done the trick, at least with my MP3 files. -

CRAP!!!! It came back!
Does anyone know of a setting or something that can be used from within WMP that can turn this stuff off permanently?
Thanks -

Try the utility Shell Extension Manager (freeware): http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
It worked for me. Be sure to read the helpfile/readme.__________________

Thanks very much - both of you - I will give it a try.
I think next time I do a fresh install, I'm going to stick with Windows Media Player 9 and not go up to 10 (until I'm forced to by the evil Microsoft Empire...)
Again - thanks.
