| Subscription UP Recommendation needed. We all know that owning a PC and surfing the net one can become vulnerable due to Hackers,Viruses,Trojans etc.etc. The majority of us try to protect our PC by installing Anti-Virus software to avoid such attacks. I'm currently using Norton Anti-Virus/Internet protection but within the next couple of days my Annual subscription is due for renewal. I need someone to recommend a good Anti-Virus software and Internet security package. I just want to try a few others before i commit to Symantec for another 12 Months. Kaspersky Personal and NOD32 are way better than Norton both in performance (much faster, especially "on-the-fly" scans) and recognizing viruses so I highly recommend you to ditch Norton in favour for one of the programs mentioned above. As for firewall Kerio 2.1.5 is a good choice (if you have Win XP SP2 you can use the builtin) and does what you tell it to do. | Re: Subscription UP Recommendation needed. I like NOD32, I will never touch norton av again. I hardly notice a difference when it is scanning. It also does not slow down sending/recieving or large e-mails, like norton did. It also has a nice clean interface. Well, thats my 2 cents. Good Luck! |
