Ever since I've had my laptop, I've always had to wait for this little window to come up before Being able to use my computer, until it pops up I can't lick on any icons, although I can move my mouse:

This never really bothered me because it always came up nearly instantly. But now, all if a sudden it's taking up to 30 minutes to appear and I have to wait another 15 minutes or so until I can click on anything.

I have no idea what to do, is this a common problem?

If the AWC doesn't work....

What is the make and exact model of your computer ?
What is your OS ?
How are you connecting to the internet (ethernet, wireless etc.) ?

It would appear to be installing a driver for something each time you start up.The image doesn't show what driver it is.
So if you can remove any devices you have plugged in(if any) then see how it starts that may help you find which device is causing the problem.
I would say a bad RAM stick was causing the slow start though.
But not the driver problem.

How about trying to boot in Safe Mode, both with and without networking (tap F8 key while booting). See if the same thing happens. This is definitely not normal behavior.

I second the advice of gamma1 try it and let us know.

It would appear that it is trying to load drivers for something as cholla has ref in post #7

Did you load all drivers from the disc that came with the laptop?Did someone else load all drivers and firmware from the disc that came with the laptop?

Did the laptop come with disc ?

I actually didn't install the drivers myself, I bought this laptop second hand at a computer store with windows, drivers and software etc installed already.

The laptop did come with a disk, probably an accident on behalf of the computer store.I found a dvd disc in the cd tray with the drivers for virtually every type of computer, I'm thinking that since he made the mistake of leaving the disk in the drive maybe he rushed the job and didn't do it properly?

Idk
