| I have just built a new machine to run Mandrake Linux 9. My H/D is 60 Gig (Not formatted yet) Do I partition the drive into 2 x 30Gig drives? How do I format the drive for Linux, I know how to format for Windows straight from the CD or a startup disk in either FAT 32 or NTFS. Any help would be most appreciated |

| Hi Mr Belvedere Thanks for your help, I have tried what you said! When my machine boots , I get the Linux Startup Screen, I press enter to install, I then get the following error message: Error in exec of stage 2 Trying to execute '/usr/bin/uninstall2' from installation volume the following error has occured FATAL ERROR IN STAGE1: Not a directory I can't recover from this: You may reboot you system Can you throw some light on this Many thanx |
