| I can hardly wait... I think we'll be getting it here at the company, since Linux is our main business and Nero is used pretty much. My expectations are high. The past has shown that writing CDs with Linux is something that works really good (why not eh?), although the available softwares where quite limited when it comes to useful functionality. As soon as this very popular, if not the most popular, burning application gets released for Linux, it might be a step in the right direction for Linux on the desktop market.

and yup... i have to agree with you, Dee-ehn - the lack of good CD burning software has been holding me back, as well... although i think some people may hold out until one of the raw CD copiers (CloneCD, Alcohol, or Blindwrite) get ported to linux as well... but still... you have to start somewhere |
| Running Nero on Linux has been possible for quite some time. It has to be done with Wine, and it fuctioned pretty good. Just one bad thing: it was quite a pain in the virtual #$$ to get it to work. I've spend quite some hours on it, but I got it working... It seems like that more and more companies are getting into Linux. I recently read about Microsoft, evaluating the possibilities of releasing Office for Linux. Well I sure hope they do so, so we can laugh at them (I mean, we've got Codeweavers Crossover Office and the free -and even better, in my opinion- OpenOffice)

![]() press releases dont always coincide with release dates, mind you. warcraft 3 was announced how long before it came out? (cites precedent)
