Well, if this site still exists, you can get all the info and progs to convert a dat. file to mpegg, and a prog to paste several movie files to one movie file, check it out: http://www.vcdhelper.com

Try Searching for VCD-Cutter or I-Film edit. (Try download.com or something) These tools can join/cut (VCD) Mpeg files.
