How do you add a computer to a network?

I just build another comp from some old parts. It has a wireless card, how do I add it to my network. A friend set up the current network for me, so I don't know how he did it.

Is there a tutorial somewhere that show you how to do it? Thanks.

Not to be a smart a@@ but have you googled. There's tons of info plus a wizard built right in. By the way nice driftin' vids.

If your friend turned off SSID, then you'll need to configure your wireless adapter to recognize your network; and if it's WEP encoded you'll need to set that up too. Both network name and WEP code would be accessible from your existing computer(s). If your router is a g and your card is a b, you should be ok; but if your router is a b and your card is a g, it won't work.

It is WEP'd, I remember him saying something about the network security. I'll give it a shot tonight, if it doesn't work, I can always ask him to come over and set it up for me. Thanks for the compliment on the drift video, the last one (Twin MR2) is rushed, so the editing is not as good as the others.
