Inkscape was mentioned previously in a Linux app thread here.
I only came across this app about a week ago and I think its a great graphics program.
Inkscape v.0.4.6 for Windows can be found here.

Which one of the free anti-virus programs allows you to turn it off? I downloaded the avg anti-virus a while ago. But there was no way to close it, it stayed on all the time so it kept giving me pop-ups. It drove me crazy so I uninstalled it, now I have viruses again.

Right click the icon in your task bar (bottom right) and click "exit"

The "pop up" is when it tries to update itself automatically and you are not on-line.

Couldn´t be simpler

I can't believe that I did a search on the entire CD Freaks database and didn't find this one:

Lastpass
They bill it as "The last password you'll have to remember." It is a free password manager for Firefox and IE. Try it, you'll like it. I switched from Norton and Roboform and am now using this on every computer.

Not related at all with burners, but it seems interesting anyway

Sweet Home 3D is a free interior design application
that helps you place your furniture on a house 2D plan, with a 3D preview.

It is OpenSource, Free, and it runs on Windows, Mac OS X 10.4 / 10.5, Linux and Solaris.

First of all, it is actually secure. When you run the Lastpass install, it will import your passwords from Roboform, so how secure is Roboform?

Second, it is free for personal use. Roboform only lets you input 10 passwords on the free version. Lastpass gives you unlimited for free. Plus, form filling, secure password generation, autologin, etc.

Finally, Lastpass is way more functional. It encrypts and stores your passwords on your PC. Then it copies the encrypted passwords to the Lastpass server. Their server never has the key to your passwords or any unencrypted passwords. Now, with your master password, you can access all of your passwords from any computer.

Give it a try, you have nothing to lose, it's free.

MediaMonkey

Do you want a good alternative to Windows Media Player?
Are you trying to tag a bunch of MP3's and MP3Tag takes too many steps?

This one is for you. I had loaded it up a couple of times and left a little frustrated because I didn't spend enough time with it. This time I discovered that you can click on an album with bad or missing data, hit CTRL-L and MediaMonkey will bring up a window that will give you "best match" data from several different Amazon sites. You can even select which data to tag. For example, I only needed Album Art and didn't want to change anything else. After selecting only Art, the window remembers your next selection. I managed to tag about 15,000 songs (about 1,200 albums) in about 4 hours.

Delete undeletable stuff...

You know...you are trying to clear stuff out and a file refuses to allow itself to be deleted

Killing the process that may have an unseen stranglehold on a file sometimes does the trick. If you know what process has locked the file you're trying to delete, pull up Windows Task Manager and check out the Application or Processes tab; try to locate the guilty process and kill it.

But if you can´t identify it or it doesn´t work, try this free solution: a small download utility called Unlocker.
Simply right-click the troublesome file and this should appear:

Click "unlock all" and that´s it! Job done

I just kill explorer using the task manager ... the usual culprit .... and use the command line to delete the offending files, then restart explorer

Failing that, I boot linux and delete the annoying file
