| I'm quite sad that Burrrn didn't make the list. It's a great free audio cd burning program. It's a great program. From the author's website: "Burrrn is a little tool for creating audio CDs with CD-Text from various audio files. Supported formats are: wav, mp3, mpc, ogg, aac, mp4, ape, flac, ofr, wv, tta, m3u, pls and fpl playlists and cue sheets. You can also burn EAC’s noncompliant image + cue sheets! | My contribution for those who are into working with photos: 1) Irfanview - freeware from a guy in Austria (his name is Irfan). Very good for batch conversions: any format to any other, resizing, renaming, color --> B&W etc. Works fast too. http://www.irfanview.com/ 2) Helicon - not free but worth it. From a Russian genius, it converts and corrects just about everything you could ever wish for - distortions, color correction, sharpening, fringing, hot pixel noise, etc. Check it out at http://helicon.com.ua/pages/ 3) Rasterbator - sounds like something you have hide from your mother, but really - it´s a cool free program from some guys in Finland to make HUGE posters in a dot matrix output from any photo onto multiple sheets of A4 size paper...as many as you want...as big as you want (no matter how small the data size!). My old stay-home desktop machine has an older LG and an antique Plextor. There´s a Mac G4 lying around too...still not sure what to do with that yet  . Just picked up a great netbook: the MSI Wind U100-L which has NO OPTICAL DRIVE  but at least it´s black  Finally, a Cube Reaction...which is a mountain bike <-- looks good and goes like the clappers (can I call it an "optical drive"?) | Awesome list. Must have taken a LOT of research to put this list together. Why is WinRAR missing? The unregistered version works perfectly if you ignore the nag screen. Irssi is another excellent IRC Client for Linux. Notepad2 is an excellent freeware text editor (notepad on steroids).
