Forum is kinda usable as long you don't login.
Once in all the CSS linking and double "posting" will kick in and the cdf server just doesn't seems being able handle all this, (just try browse from "home" to forum section).
Now it's slower then ever, (Firefox and Opera, both on M$ and linux).

Note, I've no intention to pour any more salt into our html programmers tea cup.
But,... reading all those 80+ warnings and errors, no surprie our site is slow...

Just ading Opera error report for one (1) cdf click.

Forum loads pretty fast for me on Firefox 3.0.12.

Faster Fox addon says load time is 4.200s.

The Home page loads fast now at 4.439s.

If you guys have the new Firefox 3.5.1, there was a bug introduced that caused long load times and sometimes DNS errors on some web pages. I couldn't stand it anymore so I downgraded back to 3.0.12 which zips right along.

Firefox addons

FasterFox
NoScript
Ad block plus
WOT
Personas
Downloadhelper

The only thing that sucks is the apostrophe bug in Firefox and your forums. For some reason, every time I press the apostrophe key, I get the find bar. The only way to fix it is to open addons or download window in Firefox to re-focus it to the forum reply box. For some strange reason, you are the only place I have encountered this issue.

It's loading relatively fast for me at the moment too but posting and editing posts in particular is unbelievably slow.

That's interesting, I didn't know that. Thanks for the info.

FF is downloading 3.5.2 now...

Forum is fairly fast (here in my little bit of England) at the moment I must say.

EDIT: Editing fast for me as well.

I could not even get on for over 3 hours.
Getting time out error with firefox, and blank page with IE8

Now seems to be quick though.

If you still use M$ windoze then I think you should give Opera 9.6x a shot.
Right now on my GF's 2.4GHz C2D lappy no site click load takes longer time then 2. 501s.
Thanks MPI3.

Nice to see our homepage html programmers cleaning their code.
Edit, most of the w3c validation errors still seems to be there though.

Forum speed is intermittent, running slower this evening than earlier in the day.

Front end seems to be down apart from the homepage itself - I have not been able to open any news story or review since this morning.

The wife's side of the family is just a bunch of slackers and can't handle their liquor. Now I have to try and make up for their poor work ethic.
Do you have a pair of Air Jordans in size 0.05?

Seán, for sure there must be something wrong at your side of the net.

Example; (in Opera 9.64 and Firefox 3.51, running Win x32)
i. to find all 28k posts by Arachne = 7.81s.
ii. to find all ValHall64 (my son) <100 posts = 3.14s.
iii. to find a few ramdom single posters (in newbie forum) = <2.0s

AFAICS, cdfreaks, hmmm..., okay myce html code has been cleaned nicely latest weeks.
Thanks MPI3.
