Question: Issue with LITE-ON iHAS120-04

    Hello all,

    My friend posted here last night and was met with a rather uniformed reply from a moderator while trying to burn a Windows XP SP3 German version onto a bootable CD using Nero etc.

    I own a Enterprise MSDN account as a developer/programmer, I purchased a copy of the German version of Windows XP SP3 for him as part of a deal when I built two computers for him, the one for the girlfriends father and a rig for himself. Now for those not familiar with the MSDN accounts, they send you a downloader that allows you to download the .ISO of the OS and then burn it to install.

    Now my friend is getting several errors trying to burn the CD and boot from it. He has listed the issues he has had in a thread here:

    I would appreciate it if anyone would have some idea what the issue may be as I cannot return the copy of Windows XP SP3.

    Das war ich. Irgendwelche ISOs kommerzieller auf einer externen Platte klingt nun einmal nicht nach legaler Software. Die Regeln sind hier eindeutig.

    Es gibt da mehrere Möglichkeiten:
    1. Das Image ist defekt. Falls anbieterseitig Prüfsummen vorhanden sind, mit der Prüfsumme des Images vergleichen. Bei Unterschieden beim Anbieter reklamieren.
    2. Falsche Methode, das Image auf CD zu brennen. Am einfachsten geht das mit ImgBurn (kostenlos).
    3. Minderwertige Rohlinge oder ungeeignete Brenngeschwindigkeit.
    4. Der verwendete Brenner ist in Verbindung mit den benutzten Rohlingen zum Brennen von CDs ungeeignet.

    Deutsch ist nicht meine natürliche Sprache,

    Vielen Dank für Ihre Antwort, gibt es keine regionalen Unterschiede bei der CD-Image, das uns irgendwelche Probleme? Just doppelten Kontrolle alles.

    Nein, das sollte kein Problem sein.
    Deswegen vermute ich, daß entweder das Image defekt ist, oder es wurde beim Brennen ein Fehler gemacht. Brenne das Image mit ImgBurn und versuche die Installation erneut.
