Big deal. God released tablets to Moses over 3,000 years ago. Granted, they didn't have Wi-Fi.

Bummer.

I was fishing and reading a few weeks ago, and of course the book droppd into the water. I grabbed it, waved off the excess water, reeled in my catch and that was part of our lunch. Afterwards, the book had dried out fine over a tree's branch.

I kept reading it, and giggling about the German skit, "Opa's iPad", about the German woman who bought her grandfather an iPad, and they were making a quick salad when she asked how he liked it.

"Sure, it's great."

Pity there's nothing yet to compare with the latest iPad released to retail months ago.

I would have bought the IPAD 3 except for the fact that it does not support " Flash". I still do not understand why?

I think it was a marketing decision as Steve Jobs didn't want to even indirectly support Adobe.

Right after reading Alan's post, I thought it was about the lack of additional flash memory support, but now it seems it's about Adobe Flash. Or, was it both?

After all the Macs that sold to use Adobe Page Maker, Photoshop and Postscript? Ungrateful Bastage...Me Thinks it's because Apple is highly invested in HTML5. http://www.apple.com/html5/showcase/threesixty/

There was something about the Flash support mentioned in Walter Isaacson's Steve Jobs, but I have to consult the book again.

It's worth noting that Android 4.1 has dropped official support for Flash, and Adobe no longer provides updates for the Flash package on earlier OS versions. I say "Good riddance!", personally. But so long as the Amazon tablets and other (I assume) budget models stay on 4.0.x or earlier, the Flash installer can be loaded through whatever means necessary. How well it will work given the lack of support from Adobe, I don't know.
