Just for curiosity: what is the highest safe temperature for the 3770K?

Even if the CPU reach 80C, for example, if the cooler can keep temperature not over 80C is it really that bad?

The max core temp is 105c, at that temperature the CPU will throttle down. For day to day running, I certainly wouldn't want to be anywhere near 105c.
85c would be my max for now, until I hear that higher, or indeed lower is safe.

I've backed my overclock down a notch to 4.4GHz, where temps under load are much better (around 72c max).
