LG-RH7500 DVD RW problems

I have a LG-RH7500 had no problems with unit playing bought DVD titles or play xvid files from CD-R and RW media, but the unit will not recognise any DVD RW + or -. Have tried the recommended ones from manual no change.

Was wondering if its a lens fault or possible software/firmware issue ?

Re: LG-RH7500 DVD RW problems

Welcome to cdfreaks.
I have a 7500 and will say that it is very picky about DVD RW media, The only one I have got it to work with is Verbatim.
Regards.

Re: LG-RH7500 DVD RW problems

Just tried some Verbatim DVD+RW with no luck either. Come to conclusion that she is faulty. LG have arrange to collect unit for repair, hopefully they'll sort it.

Cheers

Re: LG-RH7500 DVD RW problems

Hi there,

I'm new and new to posting on forums so I apologise if I've done this incorrectly.
I have a RH7500 that is almost a year and a half old. I am having terrible problems with it. It turns itself off randomly while watching dvds or recording onto the harddrive and when viewing tv programs the picture sometimes freezes.
I didn't purchase an extended warranty so I'm not sure what to do.
I've googled a little bit and found some people have had similar problems but I haven't found anyone thats had a solution.
Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Cheers

Ralf

Oops sorry, just realised what I did there. Anyway did you have any luck returning your machine to LG and exactly how diod you go about it.
I have contacted them but they say as it's out of warranty they wont do anything.

Regards
