Given the poor performance of their current console, after the initial wow factor wore off, it'd better be amazing.

The question remaining is whether the wii-u will be just catching up to current consoles, or whether it's a serious contender to ms/sony next gen consoles.

The current wii has as much processing ability as a $2 pocket calculator

I agree. The Wii was as powerful as the last gen. IE about as powerful as an xbox1. If the new Wii follows that trend and is only as powerful as the 360/ps3 then I think it would be a fail.

The original Wii cornered an unusual market segment because of the motion controller. People who don't play alot of video games. Then it turned out theres million of wii's sitting on people shelves covered in dust because the novelty wore off quickly. Those people aren't like to repurchse I don't think,
