Clone CD Discuss, Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2 at Burning Software forum; Hey folks, did anyone manage to get 1:1 copy of NFS6 with cloneCD or CD Mate or something like that??? I've tried it with both, but I'm not sure using the right reading and writing params??? Help please!

is same protection as Fifa 2003, safedisk 2.8xx

use Alcohol 120% to make a good copy. safedisk 2 settings.

Read and write in Alcohol 120%, using the SafeDisc 2 profile. Untickle Amplify Weak Sectors, when you are about to burn, if you have a "2 sheep" burner, if not use the standard SafeDisc 2 profile.
Enable "Hide CD-R Media" when you play the game if you read the CD from your burner.

You can read the image with ccd and generate a cue sheet and then burn either with fireburner (dao16 or dao96) or nero (dao96) if you have either of those programs.

If your writer is a 2 sheep writer, either method will probably give you a working copy (though one made with nero probably will be inferior and will take longer to load than one made with fireburner).

I have backed up both NFS:HP2 and NBA Live 2003 (safedisk 2.80.010) using LTD163D as reader and Sony CRX175A1, CCD 4.1.0.1 , using Safedisk(no aws) profile. Both were a no go with default game cd profile. With safedisk profile will install and run provided you have CCD "hide cdr media" enabled. Tried on Sony burner,LTD163D and Samsung SV6003H cdrom.

I finally had time to try them on my sons' computers. Once again will install and run only if "hide cdr media" is enabled..............

Hola peeps,

Though i haven't managed to get my image to work on a CD, i just use the Daemon Tool, which works great!
For those who had the same problem as me, here is what happened with my struggle to copy the cd:

I used Alcohol 120% free 30 day trial to make an image; SafeDisc 2/3 emulation. When the image was done it didn't work with the Daemon Tool and gave me a message something like this:

'Need for Speed - Hot Pursuit 2 error. Corrupted files or registry, please reinstall.'

In the first place i thought my image was not ok and considered making a new image, since i was playing another game at the time the image was being made.

But then this morning i read this thread again and saw some people talk about installing and stuff, and i remembered the error i got.
I thought hey, lets just do what me pc was saying and uninstalled the game and reinstalled it using the image i made before, mounting it to a virtual drive with the Daemon Tool. The game installed and now it works!

This Daemon Tool is cool stuff! Also very very happy with Alcohol 120% so far. If this keeps going and going like this i will be buying this nice piece of software.

Yesterday i found out that all of my images do NOT work when i burn them on a CD

, but they DO work if i 'drag and drop' the image onto a CD and then mount the image on the CD to the virtual drive with the Daemon Tool. This is absolutely no problemo for me and now i'm having plans on making more images like this and burn some 7 or 8 games or so on a DVD, so all these images won't eat up all my valuable harddrive space.

With CloneCD 5.0.0.0 You can copy the game without problems.

The game is safedisc 2.8 protected and the ability to make a good back-up copy is hardware dependant. What writer do you have and do you have any other reading devices (e.g. an ordinary cd/dvd rom)?

Note too that the game will only run from its installation drive (unless you edit your registry) which explains the problem you had before you re-installed from the virtual drive.

Thanks for the replies guys!

I'm using a NEC DVD RW ND-2500A which i use to both read and write the CD/DVD's. (is this a good purchase anyone?)
Also i have a Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616E. (read only)
This Samsung drive i'm not very happy with since it makes alot, i mean ALOT of noise when inserting any CD/DVD into it. But then again it probably just isn't mounted correctly into the computer case.. (out of screws

)
Very soon i will be switching this Samsung drive with the 52x CD RW which is currently attached to my ladies pc. (i just love burning CD's at 52x

)

Unfortunatly i am not very good at editing the registry, so my opinion is don't mess with what u do not understand, so that's what i will be doing, not editing the registry.

Hi EVO,

according to alcohol forum burner list your NEC should do the job, but you got to use slow speed like 4x otherwise it'll fail. Use Alcohol's SafeDisc profile for reading and writing, use slow speed like 4x for both processes. Install the game from your Samsung drive, so ATIP can't be checked by SafeDisc guard modul, then you should own a '1:1' backup.

i downloaded nfs hot pursuit 2 from torrentz and its having d setup and everything but when m trying 2 run after installing its saying INSERT A CD IN THE CD-ROM.And i also tried by making a virtual drive and mounting d whole game on it.but still its saying d same thing.can you people help me in this..
