The seems to be pretty often a bigger BIS spike near 22 GB?!

@BLERandJitter: yes, it does seem common with this spindle. I will burn more with the Pioneer 206 to see if it remains immune to this.

Both Blu-Ray were burnt today. It looks so whether the PX-B310U is already dying (after 2 weeks). Damned Plextor!
I had yesterday already big problems to rip an Audio CD error free.

Hi,

the SmartBlu 6X BD-R SL made in U.A.E. are made by the same manufacturer as the Digistor.
The Digistor 6X BD-R SL are available from amazon.co.uk.
I don´t know, if they ship to Australia, You have to log in with Your account name and password - if you have one - and try.

Amazon UK have them at http://www.amazon.co.uk/DIGISTOR-Med...0927060&sr=8-1 for £19.75 (AUD $29.60) with free delivery within UK.

Amazon US have them at http://www.amazon.com/DIGISTOR-Media...tor+6X+BD-R+SL for US$26.95 (AUD $26.03) with free delivery within US.

A problem with buying from stores, or on ebay, is that often they do NOT identify their discs with the unique MID. This has already led me to buy one set of TDK DL discs twice when I was attempting to sample different MIDs to evaluate them. Is there some way for me to avoid this mistake?

Unless somebody can suggest a cheaper alternative, I will be buying the Digistor 6X BD-R from Amazon US:
  • because it is a little cheaper (AUD $26.03 shipped within the US) and
  • because I have a US Shipitto account (www.shipito.com/) that will on-post the discs to me, I think for about US $9 service charge plus (I'm guessing) about US $10 postage to Australia.
