My disc is clean, scratch free and seems to play no problem on my DVD player. Open for suggestions. |

| DREAMLINER I had no problem with Casino Royale I used version 5232 or any of the earlier version of DVDFab, as far as the latest beta releases I'm unable to help you on those because I will not install them

| Well I guess I will wait for the next update on that one. Is there a work around? I am trying to make an H264 + Original audiocopy to mkv. Is there a way if I put it on the hard drive and encode it from there? |

| Put problems like this in the Mobile sub-forum where Ting is more likely to see them. Faster fix.

| I'm seeing essentially the same problem since installing 5.3.0.6. Like you, I'm converting from DVD to a .mkv file (xvid and audio pass through). So far every disk I've tried since installing this beta (several disks) starts converting normally with fps in the mid-50's. But somewhere around the 50% to 60% mark, fps starts dropping, and either just prior to or at 100%, fps drops to 0 and it never finishes. Clicking "Cancel" causes DVDFab to go unresponsive. I'm following the same procedure I've been using for several weeks now without any problems until now. I'm going to try "downgrading" to the most recent previous version I have and will report the results. -Leevis Oh...and when I post the results, if someone hasn't opened a thread for this in the Mobile sub-forum, I'll do so at that time. |

| I accidently made this post in the wrong Forum so I am now reposting it here for better attention. The Problem: DVDFab 5.3.0.6 Stops encoding when reaching the 81.16% mark. I am encoding "Casino Royale" region 1 to an mkv file with h264 & original audio track. Not the new Bond, but the old 1967 original version. The encoding starts as normal with an average 65 fps. Then at the 80% mark the frame rate starts to drop slowly until it reaches 0 fps. My disc is clean, scratch free and seems to play no problem on my DVD player. Open for suggestions. |

| I went ahead and started the thread in the DVDMobile side. It is under the header: "DVDFab 5.3.0.6 Stalls when encoding to mkv" |

| OK...sorry it took me so long to report back on this (long busy weekend). I uninstalled DVDFab 5.3.0.6 and re-installed version 5.2.3.2 and the problems I reported in my previous post have disappeared. Using DVD to Mobile to create .mkv's (xvid + audio pass through) has worked properly with a number of different disks, with conversions taking about 40 to 50 minutes to complete. Just to be sure about what I'm seeing, I re-installed 5.3.0.6 and tried it with a disk that I had just converted successfully with 5.2.3.2. Using the same profile, it's been running for just short of 4 hours now with 84.4% complete. I'm going to try and let it run until it shows 100% complete and then I'll post the details of the result. -Leevis |
