| Hello all, I tries this new option (aac 5.1) in the last beta of DVDFab. My goal is to feed my PS3 with MediaTomb / PS3 Media Server Multi-language or subtitle are now a issue in my setup. I'am between 2 configuration .... and this new option should (maybe) solve all my problem. h264 + ac3 in avi ... doesn't work on ps3 h264 + ac3 in mkv ... less portable and require more hardware and specific software. h264 + aac in mp4 ... poor sound in home theater. But now .....h264 + aac 5.1 in mp4 .... wow ... I want that My problem is Iam always got a blank screen !?! Bitrate of the sound track should be 128 and It's look 192 in MediaInfo. Thanks for your help. Code: General

| Hi vonloschz! Sorry to leave you talking to yourself all day. Glad you worked out getting the video back. Was the only change you made the change of profile from Generic to PS3?

| The only change I made is to take the ps3 profile instead the generic one. And I downgrade the bitrates from 2000 to 1500. On left is the generic and on right is the ps3. Code: File size : 1.45 GiB | File size : 1.12 GiB Overall bit rate : 2 197 Kbps | Overall bit rate : 1 697 Kbps Format profile : Baseline@L1.3 | Format profile : Baseline@L3.0 Bit rate : 2 000 Kbps | Bit rate : 1 500 Kbps Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.380 | Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.285 Stream size : 1.32 GiB (91%) | Stream size : 1 014 MiB (88%) Stream size : 130 MiB (9%) \ Stream size : 130 MiB (11%) It's the max bitrate a format can support ? For a good multichannel, should I take Dolby Pro Logic II or stereo ? I guess Dolby Pro Logic II, but a external opinion is welcome. Thanks |

| When making choices for audio, make sure your playback device supports the options you are considering. As to the encoding levels, I think it is more what the PS3 will support. There are many differences between the levels, including the max bitrate. There is an excellent chart here (scroll down, second chart): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264 .
