Any idea what sort of file it is? I'm guessing you're looking to use File to Mobile to convert it to a more universal format, or are you looking to use DVD to Mobile to export DVDs to the receiver somehow?

What does VLC say about the files? Or MediaInfo?

MPEG-2 transport streams are not terribly efficient ways to store files. Have you tried just changing the file suffix to mpg and converting it with File to Mobile? Do you have a short (<20 MB) snippet you could attach to an email?

Yes if i rename the file to Djungel George 2009-05-30.rec.ts or Djungel George 2009-05-30.rec.mpg or Djungel George 2009-05-30.rec.avi it works but not if i open the Djungel George 2009-05-30.rec directly.

can .rec be added as valid format or can extension be ignored

Why should the file be rejected just because the extention is invalid?

Please Ignore extension when file is selected or dropped
