I've used both Amazon's US (.com) and UK (.co.uk) websites and so far haven't had any issues with billing or with purchases I made.

As I live in Ireland, I only made purchases on Amazon.com when I was about to visit a friend in Colorado. This included purchases from both Amazon itself and a few resellers. Unlike other companies, they were not picky about my credit card either.

Amazon.co.uk was a bit of a pain for not delivering anything but books, movies and DVDs to Ireland for several years. Since there is no Irish based Amazon, this meant that the only other things I could purchase from its UK website were items sold by its resellers that gave Ireland as a delivery option. However, I still made very good savings such as when I purchased a lens for my Nikon DSLR and a good pair of headphones, each around €50 cheaper than what I would have paid at the cheapest store (inc. online) I came across with these products in Ireland. Like eBay, I do keep a close eye out on a reseller's ratings before considering a purchase from one.

Amazon.co.uk has since lifted the restriction on most items, including electronics, so I'll likely be using it more if the price is right.

I've never had anything go wrong with Amazon, I really like it, and buy most of my new electronics there.

The only problem is their terrible search engine, it makes it very difficult to find anything. If I'm not in the mood to fight with it, I go straight to eBay.

I used to really like Amazon, but the last 4 or 5 orders from them have been problematic, and I've regretted ordering each time, so I'm pretty much done with them. Very glad it's still working out well for some of you, though.
