| Upscaling significa che il lettore converte il segnale a risoluzione standard in un segnale ad alta risoluzione, nel caso che colleghi il lettore a uno schermo ad alta risoluzione. Essendo una rielaborazione del video fatta al volo da un chip dedicato, il risultato non è identico a un film che è stato già creato ad alta risoluzione (i blu-ray tanto per intenderci), ma i risultati possono essere comunque validi se il chip è di qualità e se il film originale è stato creato a regola d'arte. Il progressive scan non ho idea di cosa sia  L'uscita HDMI serve solo se hai un televisore ad alta definizione
