According to All Headline News, the residents down in Texas, specifically those in San Antonio, will be the first to witness Toshiba's HD-DVD high definition player in action. Strangely, the first demo will be held at a local electronics store called Bjorn's Audio Video and Home Theater Store.

Bjorn Dybdahl of Bjorn's Audio Video says, "This is an extremely exciting event for Toshiba and Bjorn's. Being able to show consumers the tremendous potential of HD DVD and to see their reactions is something we have been looking forward to." This is the first in a series of retail demonstrations around the country that will allow consumers to experience HD DVD's superior image quality on a large, Toshiba 1080p high-definition projection TV, and to see the difference HD DVD will bring to home entertainment. |

Unfortunately, it seems that the demo
was held on Thursday, so it's a bit late to be able to check out this new
hardware in San Antonio. But, the show goes back on the road to other
locations.
